  He grew up in Puerto Rico listening to the music of salsa greats like Willie Colon, Gran Combo, Ismael Rivera,

Tito Puente, the Fania all stars, Eddie Palmieri, Willie Rosario and many other outstanding salsa music performers and in  

later years he  became an aficionado of jazz. Today his music reflects both of these influences in what we call ( Romantic

Salsa)

        A musician for most of his life, appears to be headed for big and good times. Cheo has opened for headliners such

as Oscar De Leon, Celia Cruz, Ruben Blades, the late Tito Puente, Los Lobos, War, Luis Enrique, Ray Charles and many

other major acts in northern and southern California. The vocalist have also shared the stage with many other acts in various

venues around the San Francisco Bay Area .

        It was the early 1993 release of his CD “ De Aqui De Alla “ in Puerto Rico that has thrust him into the limelight. It held

onto the number 14 slot of the Puerto Rican hit parade charts for seven weeks and gained him recognition in New York,

Miami, California , Colombia and Venezuela . The success of his recording has helped him land guest artist appearances with  

other Bands and Latin groups in the Bay Area and southern California.

        These days you will find "CHEO CONCEPCION AND HIS ORQUESTA  DE AQUI Y DE ALLA”

headlining at many of the Bay Area’s hottest salsa night clubs. Cheo’s Orquesta "De Aqui y De Alla” (from here and from

there) consist of very well recognized musicians known locally and internationally . Together they create a very unique and

original sound in Salsa Music.!!!!
